MonitorGrid, a Cloud Based Server Monitoring Solution, Gives Admins Two-Way Communication with Their Microsoft Servers

Hollywood, FL (Vocus) May 17, 2010

Linxter, Inc., provider of the Linxter cloud messaging platform, today announces the release of MonitorGrid (http://monitorgrid.com), a service for keeping tabs on the performance, storage, and network activity of Microsoft servers, regardless of their network or domain. Running on Azure and wired with Linxter, MonitorGrid users enjoy secure and reliable two-way communication between their Microsoft servers and the MonitorGrid interface.

The ability to not only receive performance data from your servers, but send commands to them is what sets MonitorGrid apart from other server monitoring systems. In addition to providing historical trending, MonitorGrid allows for remote restarts (both on-demand and scheduled), multiple users, and the ability to transfer files from one to many servers.

MonitorGrid not only helps system administrators react to unexpected problems, but take proactive measures to keep servers in good health. Whenever a server falls below performance thresholds, alerts are sent immediately. In addition, historical trending reports allow administrators to diagnose whether they need more CPUs, memory, hard drives, or load balancing to keep their servers running smoothly.

Getting started is as simple as creating a MonitorGrid account and downloading and running the MSI, which installs a low impact server service. Every 60 seconds, the service uses Linxter?s cloud messaging technology to send the server performance data to a cloud app running on Windows Azure. The cloud app then displays the performance data in convenient graphs and reports.

?MonitorGrid is brilliantly simple to use, and provides me with a great feature set,? said Esteban Garcia, Partner at M2E Solutions. ?Because it is cloud based, I didn't need to acquire any additional hardware, and I also don't need to provide resources for, or worry about the system administration of it. We were up and running in minutes, with no training required.?

?The combination of an easy-to-install service, an easy-to-use web app, extremely competitive pricing, and two free servers for every account makes MonitorGrid an ideal solution for watching the health of your servers,? said Jason Milgram, Linxter CEO. ?Currently, MonitorGrid supports Windows servers, and Linux support will be added in the coming months.?
